Overview of Ranch

Rocky Hollow Ranch is located 30-40 minutes from Halifax in beautiful Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia where play, adventure and fun awaits you and your guests!

Our private facility is surrounded by scenic nature trails and picturesque views. We have a permanent barn-family of horses, donkeys, and a cow! We also have a variety of other furry and feathered friends, including goats, chickens, sometimes chicks, a rabbit, dogs and cats. We look forward to having you and your guests as our guests at Rocky Hollow Ranch Nova Scotia.

Children’s parties

Celebrate a birthday with a unique, fun and memorable party experience at Rocky Hollow Ranch. Allow us to look after entertaining the party-goers, while you enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors! Join us for 2 hours of outdoor farm fun and play.

Party activities

Each party includes:

• horse grooming instruction and practice
• pony rides (on lead-ropes)
• petting the friendly farm animals (they love it)
• paint-a-pony (weather permitting)
• indoor activities including e.g., snacks, cake and/or crafts at Bullwinkles Cabin.

Additional activities lead by our staff and volunteers are also available for a small fee per child (e.g., leather tooling and bracelet making; nature scavenger hunt). Please inquire when booking for additional details. Or, let us know what you envision and we will do our best to accommodate.

Rates

Birthday parties at Rocky Hollow Ranch are a two hours of non-stop activity.

Parties start at $250 (+HST) for up to ten children.

Add participants — additional party-goers are welcome. Add $18 (+HST) per person.

Add a wagon ride — $25 for the group.

Add a campfire – Adults with the party are responsible for the campfire as it burns. $25 (+HST) for the group.

Add wieners and marshmallows ($2.50 per person).

Add a Pinata! — $50.00 for the group.

You are welcome to bring your own party treats, beverages and cake. Bullwinkle’s Cabin doubles as a place for party-goers to gather.

Reservations

Reservations require a $100 deposit for party confirmation. To reserve your party, contact us using the contact form (scroll down a little more), by e-mail: rockyhollow2017@gmail.com.

Waivers

Once booked, you will receive an email and attached you will find Rocky Hollow Ranch Waiver Form.

This waiver must be signed by every guest​ (or their parent(s), in the case of guests under 18 years of age) in order to participate in the birthday party activities at the ranch.

What to wear

Party guests should wear long well-fitted pants (e.g., jeans or soft stretchable pants); t-shirts or long-sleeved shirts depending on the weather and heeled boots (e.g. rubber boots) in order to be permitted near or on the animals.
